5 Easy Ways to Get Into the Holiday Spirit
It seems like everyone is decorating for the holidays earlier and earlier every year, but I have to admit it doesn’t bother me this year. With everything that’s going on, I think we can all use the extra joy. I finally gave in and started decorating and doing some of our favorite holiday things.

If I’ve learned anything being a mama of two, it’s things don’t have to be elaborate to be special and fun. I wanted to share a few easy tips for getting into the holiday spirit:
1. Decorate Early
I never thought I would be one of those people that start decorating for Christmas as soon as Halloween ended, but I’m all about it now. There’s nothing as magical as putting up your Christmas tree so why not enjoy it for as long as possible? Save yourself some time and a trip to the store and order the gorg fir weath and garland from The Bouqs Co.!
2. Bake Festive Treats
One of my favorite holiday traditions since I was a kid has always been baking. Now that I have two little ones, I love getting them involved. We make sugar cookies and have the best time (and make a huge mess) decorating them. I also always baked a few different types of holiday cookies to gift to our loved ones. I’ve been making my famous chocolate chip cookies for the last few years, and they’re always a hit!
3. Send a Surprise to a Loved One
Since so many of us won’t be spending the holidays with our extended families, sending something in the mail is the perfect way to spread some joy to family and friends. You can send a winter Bouq from The Bouq’s Co. (I recommend the Festival of Lights Bouq). Some other options are sending photos, a gift card or personalized gift.
4. Watch Christmas Movies
Grab some hot cocoa, a blanket and put your jammies on so you can have a Christmas movie night. There’s nothing that gets you in the holiday spirit like watching your favorite holiday movies. Some of our go-to movies are Elf, Jingle All the Way, Four Christmases, Christmas with the Kranks, Polar Express and The Santa Clause.
5. Listen to Christmas Music
This is a pretty obvious one and probably the easiest way to get into the holiday spirit. I always listen to the N’SYNC Christmas album and She & Him Christmas.
