Why Long Beach Towne Center is our New Favorite Place
I’ve never been a huge fan of malls, but I do love outdoor malls/shopping centers. We recently discovered Long Beach Towne Center, which is a 30 minute drive from us, and it’s our new favorite! It’s such a pretty shopping center and there really is something for everyone to do.
Dining
If you’re hungry, you can choose from restaurants like Lucille’s, TGIFridays and Original Roadhouse Grill. There are also quicker options like PizzaRev (which we LOVE), In-n-out, Del Taco and Chick-fil-A. You can stop at Starbucks or Roasting Water (Coffee, tea, smoothies, desserts) to get your caffeine/sugar fix. I love that they also have a Ben & Jerry’s (they even have vegan flavors now so Gray can get dessert there too!)
Shopping
I’m all about multi-tasking so I love finding a place that has everything I need. At Long Beach Towne Center you can stop to grab some wine for dinner from Total Wine, stock up on groceries at Sam’s Club and then swing by Bath & Body Works for some body spray and candles. If you’re planning a party, there is a Walmart, Party City AND a Michael’s. Looking to do some shopping for the family? There’s an Active, Carter’s and Oshkosh B’gosh for the kiddos, Old Navy, Justice and Ross. What more could you ask for?!
They also have an Ashley Furniture, Bob’s Discount Furniture, Lowes and Pier 1 Imports for any of your furniture or home decor needs.
Beauty and Pampering
Mother’s Day is coming up and if I was planning my dream day, I would just ask my hubby to watch Gray while I go to Long Beach Towne Center. I would start at Massage Envy (you can also buy gift certificates that make the perfect gift!), then head over to European Wax Center, followed by The Nail Spa for a mani and pedi. My final stop would be Ulta, which is one of my favorite stores to buy makeup and haircare products. Sounds like the perfect day right?!
Our day at Long Beach Towne Center
Recently I picked my little sister up to help me take some photos of us on a Saturday. After doing a couple of shoots, I wanted to take my sis and Gray somewhere fun so we ended up at Long Beach Towne Center. It was our first time and we were immediately impressed by the selection of shops and restaurants. We started exploring and I loved the vibe if the center. The palm trees, orange umbrellas and lush greenery were right up my alley.
We stopped to get drinks at Starbucks before Gray spotted a toy kiosk with all kinds of fun toys. I promised him we would come back before we left to get a ninja toy he wanted. After I picked up a few things I needed from Ulta, we took Gray to play on the adorable outdoor playground. He had a blast running around with all of the other kids, and it was the perfect way for him to burn off some energy.
It was a warm day so we decided to stop by Ben & Jerry’s for some ice cream. Gray was pretty much thrilled that they had a vegan flavor that he could eat and me and my sister loved ours too. There was a super cute area with umbrella covered tables where we were able to enjoy our ice cream in the shade.
We finally went to get Gray’s little ninja toy on our way out. Before leaving I wanted to take my sister somewhere she would enjoy so we stopped at Barnes & Noble (she loves reading as much as I do). I feel like it’s pretty rare to find bookstores these days so I’m happy to know we have one not too far from us. Gray browsed the kid section, while my sister found a book on adulting (she just turned 18 lol).
We all left happy and we seriously had the best day. There was something for everyone to do and we will definitely be back soon!
